Renting Made Easy

Finding the right place to live should be straightforward — and so should the renting process. Whether it’s your first time renting or you’ve done it all before, we aim to make everything simple, fair, and transparent.

Here’s what to expect when renting with Mason Homes:

Finding a Property

All of our available properties are listed online, and we update regularly. If something catches your eye, just get in touch — we’ll arrange a viewing and answer any early questions.

Applying for a Tenancy

If you want to go ahead after a viewing, we’ll guide you through the application process. This usually includes:

  • Proof of ID and income
  • References (previous landlord and employer, where possible)
  • Credit check

We aim to keep things quick and stress-free — and we’re upfront about what’s needed and when.

Securing the Property

If your application is approved, we’ll agree a move-in date and get the paperwork sorted. You’ll sign a Private Residential Tenancy agreement, and your deposit will be placed in a government-approved protection scheme.

We’ll also give you a copy of the property inventory and make sure all safety documents (EPC, gas safety, electrical checks) are shared with you before you move in.

During Your Tenancy

We’re here for anything you need. If the property is fully managed by us, we’ll be your main point of contact for any repairs, questions, or concerns. You can report issues easily, and we’ll deal with them promptly using trusted local contractors.

We also carry out routine inspections — nothing intrusive, just making sure everything’s as it should be and giving you a chance to raise any issues in person.

Ending Your Tenancy

When it’s time to move out, we’ll guide you through the check-out process. Provided everything’s in order, your deposit will be returned swiftly. If any deductions are needed, we’ll explain them clearly and fairly.
